Welcome to a shelf full of stories told in clay — As an 80s baby, my imagination was shaped by the vibrant world of cartoons. Early Disney and Looney Tunes, Fleischer Studios' Betty Boop and Popeye, not to mention the whimsical world created by Toei Animations of Japan, with titles like Moomin, Heidi, Dragon Ball Z, and Sailor Moon. These worlds didn’t just colour my childhood, they continue to inform my aesthetic today. Through ceramics, I channel that nostalgia into playful, character-driven forms and wares that invite joy, memory, and a little bit of magic.
